1.   Citation

   This Order may be cited as the Hire Purchase (Minimum Deposit and Maximum Period of Repayment) Order.

 

2.   Prescription of minimum deposit

   On the sale of movables of the class or group set out in the Schedule hereto at least that portion of the purchase price indicated in column I of the Schedule shall be paid in cash or goods at the time the agreement is entered into.

 

3.   Period of repayment of purchase price

   The period within which the full purchase price is payable shall not exceed the period indicated in column 2 of the Schedule referred to in paragraph 2.

   These Regulations may be cited as the Hire Purchase (Exemption of Application of Act to Certain Agreements) Regulations

 

2.   Non-application of act to certain agreements

   The provisions of the Act shall not apply to any agreement in respect of the sale of a moveable property where the National Development Bank is the seller.
