This Order may be cited as the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Transitional Arrangements) Order.
The Botswana University of Agriculture Natural Resources (hereinafter referred to as the “University”) shall, pending the adoption of its academic regulations, use the University of Botswana academic regulations.
The University shall, pending the approval of its academic programmes, use approved academic programmes offered by the University of Botswana.
The Senate of the University shall, pending the approval of its academic programmes, use the University of Botswana academic programmes for—
(a) regulating the conduct of examinations, the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates; and
(b) the marking of examinations.
5. Appointment, promotion and review of academic staff
The University shall, pending the enactment of its Statutes, use the University of Botswana Statutes for regulating the appointment, conditions of service, termination of appointment and retirement benefits of the academic staff of the University.
The University shall, pending the enactment of its Statutes, have representatives in the following committees—
(a) Staff Appointment and Promotions Committee of the University of Botswana;
(b) University of Botswana Senate;
(c) University of Botswana Academic Policy Review and Planning Committee;
(d) University of Botswana Research Committee;
(e) University of Botswana Graduate Studies Board; and
(f) Faculty of Agriculture Board.
