1.    Citation

    These Regulations may be cited as the Essential Supplies (Speed Limit) Regulations.

2.    Interpretation

    In these Regulations—

    “motor vehicle” has the same meaning as in the Road Traffic Act (Cap. 69:01);

    “road” has the same meaning as in the Road Traffic Act (Cap. 69:01).

3.    Speed limit

    Without prejudice to the Road Traffic (Speed Limits for Specified Vehicles) Regulations (Cap. 69:01 (Sub. Leg.))—

    (a)    no person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle upon a road at a speed greater than 120 km per hour;

    (b)    no person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle through less built-up areas at a speed greater than 80 km per hour;

    (c)    no person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle through cities, towns, villages or built-up areas at a speed greater than 60 km per hour.

4.    Penalty

    Any person who contravenes regulation 3 shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding P2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year, or to both.

1.    Citation

    These Regulations may be cited as the Essential Supplies (Availability of Supplies at Fair Price) Regulations.

2.    Availability of supplies at fair price

    A trader shall not increase the prices of the following supplies by more than the cost incurred to procure or produce the supplies—

    (a)    medical supplies and equipment including sanitisers, gloves, masks and hygiene supplies;

    (b)    pharmaceutical supplies;

    (c)    food supplies; and

    (d)    commercial goods.
